Keelson Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Keelson is a notes app. The developer is Jude Hathway. This policy says where your cards live and who can read them.

Where your cards live

Keelson uses files outside the app as its memory. They sit in a folder called the vault, inside your own iCloud Drive. Because the vault is in iCloud Drive, its files are stored on Apple's servers and synced between your devices under your Apple Account, under Apple's own privacy policy. Keelson has no server and no account of its own, so nothing you write is sent to the developer.

What else Keelson stores in iCloud

To tell your other devices that something changed, Keelson writes a small record into the private part of your own iCloud database, which Apple stores like the rest of your iCloud: which device, which project, and the time. It holds no words from your cards, and only your own devices can see it.

Cards hidden from AI

A card, topic or project you hide from AI is encrypted with a key kept only in your iCloud Keychain, which Apple syncs between your devices with its own end to end encryption. The files in the vault then hold the sealed form, and only Keelson on your own devices can open them.

AI, if you want it

Keelson lets an AI app read and arrange your cards, but only if you connect that app yourself. When you do, the words of your unhidden cards go to that app, and that app's privacy policy covers what it does with them. Disconnect it and nothing more is shared. Keelson connects to no AI on its own.

What Keelson does not do

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no crash reports sent to me. Keelson collects no personal information.

Children

Keelson collects no information from anyone, children included.

Deleting your cards

Your cards are files in your iCloud Drive. Delete the Keelson folder there and they are gone from every device. Deleting the app leaves the vault in place, so nothing is lost by accident.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
